Course Description
Intrinsic safety Ex i is a proven type of protection whose operating principle is based on reliably limiting the voltages, currents, and power available in the circuit to values at which neither ignitable sparks nor impermissibly high surface temperatures occur. For compliance with these criteria, the complete interconnection and interaction of all the equipment involved, including the connecting lines, must necessarily be considered. The user assumes a high degree of responsibility here, as he usually selects from a variety of equipment available on the market and interconnects them himself.
In this seminar, you will deal in detail with the principle of intrinsic safety and learn about the interconnection of equipment in intrinsically safe circuits as well as the requirements for installation. Thanks to numerous practical exercises and examples of interconnections, you can then optimally apply theoretical knowledge. Furthermore, our lecturers also teach special topics such as fieldbus and optical intrinsic safety
